IV Sedation
At The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center of South Louisiana, we take pride in maintaining a cheerful, inviting environment for all of our patients. We want your experience with us to be comfortable and reassuring; when you leave, we hope you feel like we treated you just like family.
Part of our commitment to patient comfort extends to our sedation options. We are happy to provide sedation and anesthesia as needed, not only to alleviate pain but also to mediate anxiety. If you have any questions about our sedation options, we welcome you to contact The OMS Center of South Louisiana in the Covington, LA area at your convenience.
When you first meet with Dr. Brandner to discuss your treatment options, he will be sure to address your sedation options. Dr. Brandner is passionate about making patients feel fully confident in their treatment. He is happy to help you choose a sedation method based on your procedure, anxiety level, and overall preference.
The standard option for our patients is IV sedation, which we can safely administer here in the office. We can also provide general anesthesia at the local hospital for patients who do not tolerate an IV or need an even greater level of sedation.
The most obvious benefit of oral sedation is that it allows you to have your procedure completed without experiencing any pain or discomfort. However, there are a number of other benefits that our patients can anticipate.
We want our patients to feel comfortable at all times, but we also want them to be completely safe with us. As such, we will always assess patients for overall health and wellness, ensuring they are qualified for safe and successful sedation dental procedures.
If you have any concerns about the safety of sedation, we invite you to contact The OMS Center of South Louisiana at any time.
Through the right oral surgery procedure, you can regain the full form and functionality of your teeth and your jaw. Thanks to sedation, you can also have your procedure done in total comfort, without any pain.
We are always happy to discuss sedation options further. The best way to explore your options is to schedule an appointment here in our Covington, LA, area practice. Contact us at your convenience and ask for a consultation with Dr. Brandner. Call us at (985) 687-1616.
