

Dr. Christy M Lottinger is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon from Slidell, Louisiana. After becoming Valedictorian of her high school in 2004, She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Louisiana State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, graduating summa cum laude in 2013. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for academic excellence, character, and service, and she was awarded the Dean’s Award for highest honors in her graduating dental school class for academic and clinical achievement.

After dental school, Dr Lottinger completed an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at The Ohio State University. She was recognized for scholarship and leadership in academia by conveyance of the Wittwer Fellowship Award. After residency, Dr Lottinger took an academic position as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where she practiced and instructed residents on full-scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to include jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, diagnosis and treatment of benign pathology of the head and neck, facial trauma surgery, and dentoalveolar surgery including wisdom tooth extraction and dental implant placement. She additionally served on the medical board at UConn John Dempsey Hospital as well as multiple councils for the School of Dental Medicine, and she was awarded the Kaiser Permanente Teaching Award by the graduating class of UConn School of Dental Medicine in 2020.
